Craft+Work Events

Craft+Work is an international event series for people shaping the Shopify Partner world — and those slightly beyond it. Each edition brings together around fifty soloists, founders, and leaders to share stories, compare notes, and talk honestly about what it takes to build and sustain a business today.

The 2026 Event Series

The next chapter of Craft+Work is already taking shape. In 2026, final dates are TBC but we'll be returning to London in September and Toronto in October. These cities have come to define the spirit of these gatherings. Want to stay in the loop? Subscribe to The Communiqué for updates, stories, and early access when tickets go live.

For an event founded by two marketers, you'd think we'd have the elevator pitch nailed by now. We don't — so here's how a few of our attendees described Craft+Work instead. Then, read on to find out what it's really all about.

Since 2023, Craft+Work has taken place in London, New York, and Toronto — each one a little different, but all grounded in the same idea: that good conversations matter. It's a slide-free, stage-free format built for real conversation — not performance.

What to Expect

Craft+Work was created as a reaction to the noise — the endless advice threads, hot takes, and $99 courses promising the "right" way to build a business. We think the real lessons come from honest, open conversations between people actually doing the work.

Each event is a full-day, fully catered gathering built around that idea. Around fifty founders, soloists, and leaders come together to share what's worked, what hasn't, and what they've learned along the way.

It's relaxed, social, and thoughtfully put together — more like a day of meaningful conversations than a conference. Expect good food, honest talk, and practical insights drawn from experience, not theory.

  • Conversations — open discussions about the realities of running and growing a business.
  • Guest Sessions — short, personal talks from founders and operators who've been there.
  • Group Workshops — collaborative sessions exploring shared challenges and opportunities.
  • Food & Drink — a proper breakfast, a great lunch, snacks, and all-day coffee and refreshments.

Who It's For

Craft+Work was created for soloists, founders, and leaders working in and around the Shopify Partner ecosystem — from agencies and app companies to consultants and independent operators.

Whether you're running a growing team, building an app, or figuring things out solo, you'll find others navigating similar paths. It's a space to compare notes, swap stories, and connect with people who understand the ups, downs, and in-betweens of building something of your own.

Why It's Different

We don't believe in big stages or bandwagon thinking. Craft+Work is intentionally small — capped at fifty people — so everyone has the space to talk, listen, and learn. It's not about following trends or chasing consensus; it's about sharing what's real — the wins, the misses, and everything in between.

  • Deliberately small — genuine conversation happens when there's room for it.
  • Intentionally analogue — no slides, no Wi-Fi, no distractions — just people talking.
  • Every voice matters — no audience, no hierarchy, no egos.
  • Niche by design — built for the Shopify Partner ecosystem and those nearby.

Craft+Work isn't about scale or spectacle — it's about people and their stories. If that sounds like your kind of day, we'd love to see you at a future event.
