One of the questions I get asked most is, “How do I speak at Craft & Work?”

The answer’s pretty simple: just ask.

If you’ve got an interesting business story, a lesson you’ve learned the hard way, a point of view you’d like to put up for discussion, or an idea you think would spark a good conversation, I’d love to hear it.

Craft & Work talks are a little different. They’re 20 minutes or less, there are no slide decks, and they’re designed to start conversations rather than present polished, definitive answers…although if you’ve discovered the definitive answer to something, we’d happily make an exception.

Previous sessions have covered everything including

  • AI
  • Building communities
  • Burnout
  • Businesses that didn’t quite go to plan
  • Changing careers
  • Customer support,
  • Hiring and firing
  • Marketing
  • Partnerships
  • Pricing
  • Product design

And more!

The best sessions aren’t necessarily the slickest. They’re the honest ones that leave people chatting over coffee afterwards and usually again over a pint later.

You don’t need to be a professional speaker or have ever spoken in front of an audience before. In fact, some of our most memorable talks have been from people speaking publicly for the very first time. You just need something worth sharing — and we believe everyone has something worth sharing.

If that sounds like your sort of thing, get in touch and tell me what you’re thinking. It doesn’t need to be a fully formed talk. An idea, a question, or a rough outline is more than enough.
